Fall is here now. I find myself reflecting more during the day. My thoughts are often on the approaching feasts and preparing not only physically with all the food, decorations, activities and supplies but also and most importantly spiritually. There is a regathering in the realm of what is important and what is not and how that plays out in day to day life. A recent hike helped clear my mind a little…here are some memories.
Last week we decided to head out to a local spot we hadn’t explored yet. Discovering a new corner of creation always brings new excitement and wonder.
Some of the last flowers of the season. “The grass withers and the flowers fall but the Word of our God stands forever.” Is. 40:6
On the last day and the greatest day of the Feast, Yeshua stood and said in a loud voice, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. Whoever believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him.” John 7:37-38
Huckleberries!! We had heard they don’t grow around here….it’s our little secret!
A special treat….Huckleberry-Mandarin No-Bake Cheesecake. 🙂
The day ended sweet….literally. One of our children had a birthday and so in addition to his mandarin cheesecake we had huckleberry sauce. It made a great end to a great day. 🙂
